Face it, wilderness trips are always more fun if your favorite pooch can come along. It's even better if they can carry their own gear! Paws down, the totally redesigned Palisades Pack II provides innovative features that will keep the rest of the pack chasing Ruffwear's tails for years to come. The new harness addresses load distribution, fitting and comfort. The harness also features an assistance handle for lifting. Elliptically shaped saddlebags create a low profile gear-carrying shape. An internal compression strap system keeps loads high and tight for snag free navigation and an improved center of gravity adds to a dog’s overall mobility. Ballistic nylon is used extensively throughout the pack for unequaled durability. Delrin hardware connects the pack and harness, allowing the chassis and saddlebags to be separated for fitting, water crossings and rest stops. Pockets placed in strategic locations accommodate leads, treats, pick-up bags, and other accessories. Of course, the integrated hydration system continues to place the Palisades Pack in a breed of its own.
The pack’s harness should have an all-around snug fit for a stable load and to prevent movement or shifting of the saddlebags. Be sure that each saddlebag has an equal and balanced load. When fitting the Palisades Pack, remove the saddlebags from the harness for easy fitting and adjustment. Then reattach the saddlebags when ready to go.
